MALBET PIERRE
A native of the Bordeaux region, Pierre passionately pursued his state-certified ski and paragliding instructor qualifications. He honed his professional paragliding skills in Corsica, first with the Altore team in Saint Florent and Calvi, then in Morzine with the iconic Portes du Soleil paragliding school. For the past twenty years, he has also taught skiing and snowboarding in the winter at Courchevel 1850 (previously in Tignes, Serre Chevalier, and L'Alpe d'Huez). Among other things, he played a key role in the rise and early days of speed riding in 2006/2007 with his best friend, Antoine Montant. For example, they completed the first speed riding descent of the North Face of the Aiguille du Midi in Chamonix and also participated in the first international speed riding competition in Sankt Anton , the "Red Bull Speed Ride ."
VARREY FREDERIC
He began flying in 1991 at the age of 15. It was only natural that he decided to dedicate his life to it, and with his passion and enthusiasm overflowing, his priority quickly became sharing it with everyone. A passion that brings happiness shouldn't be kept to oneself! Since then, he has learned to pilot almost every type of ultralight aircraft: hang glider, paraglider, parachute, paramotor, glider, Swift, three-axis, weight-shift, and gyrocopter.
A total of 6,000 tandem flights and 11,000 flight hours (excluding tandem flights), primarily in paragliding. Former member of the French Paragliding Team and Hang Gliding Class 2.
Winner of the 2004 French Distance Cup and former world record holder for round trip distance in paragliding.
He began teaching professionally in 2000 and is now the regional training manager for the French Free Flight Federation.
GIRARD DAMIEN
Specializing in outdoor sports for 28 years, he is a climbing and canyoning instructor, a deep-sea sailing skipper, and has been paragliding for over 20 years. He became a professional free-flight pilot 18 years ago and began his teaching career at Prévol, one of the largest paragliding schools in France, based in St Hilaire Du Touvet in the Isère region (site of the Coupe Icare). He trained dozens of paragliding pilots for eight years, and for three years, he also taught speedriding (a French Free Flight Federation discipline) in Valfréjus during the winter. He was also the technical director of a snowkiting school (another French Free Flight Federation discipline) in the Hautes-Alpes, which he founded in 2008. For the past ten years, his professional practice has focused on tandem paragliding.
Today, more than 10,000 tandem flights, carried out in the biggest sites in France, without ever having had an accident; Annecy, Reunion Island, St Hilaire, the Dune du Pyla, and also in winter in various ski resorts.
Flying and introducing paragliding to his passengers, in the unique setting of the sky and in the diverse landscapes where he works, is a profession he is deeply passionate about.
